Mark Wächter is mobile aficionado from the very first start. As marketer with 13 years in senior management roles (Unilever, UUNET, WorldCom, T-Mobile), he founded a worldwide active Mobile Strategy Consultancy in 2005. In the past years he coached clients in over 30 countries on all continents. Mark was founder and long-time chairman of the Section Mobile at BVDW, the German Association for the Digital Economy, and chairs the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) in Germany, which makes him member of the MMA EMEA Board of Directors. He is co-founder of the legendary MobileMonday movement. In January 2016 SpringerGabler published his definitive book Mobile Strategy. As a globally well-respected Mobile Strategist aka Mr. Mobile, Mark is acting as advisor on many Mobile Initiatives as well as mentoring start-ups in different accelerators in China, East Africa, India, Israel and Southeast Asia. He is deeply connected in the local tech-ecosystems. His 2020 essay on the Red Tsunami analyses how China’s Mobile First Society challenges marketing, brands and businesses on a global scale. Early 2022, he initiated the BVDW Committee Metaverse and acts as chairman since June 2022.
